Dental implants in Mallorca

Biocompatible titanium implants with restorations that look, feel, and function like natural teeth. Single-tooth replacements, bridges, and full-arch solutions — each preceded by a thorough imaging assessment.

01What is a dental implant?

A dental implant is a small titanium post, surgically placed into the jawbone, that acts as the root of a missing tooth. Once the implant fuses with the bone — a process called osseointegration — it provides a stable foundation for a crown, bridge, or denture.

We use biocompatible titanium implants that are accepted by the body and integrate naturally with the jaw.

02Single implant, bridge or full arch

Implants can replace a single missing tooth, support a bridge for multiple teeth, or anchor a complete denture for an entire arch. The approach depends on how many teeth need replacement and the condition of the surrounding bone and gums.

Every treatment is planned with a CBCT scan — a 3D imaging assessment that shows the exact bone structure and is used to plan the position of each implant.

03The process: imaging assessment → placement → 3–6 months of healing → crown

The first step is a consultation and CBCT scan to assess bone density and plan placement. The implant is then surgically placed in the jawbone, typically under local anaesthesia.

After placement, the implant needs time to fuse with the bone — typically 3 to 6 months. Once osseointegration is complete, the final crown or restoration is fitted. The total process usually takes 6 to 9 months, though timing varies by patient.

04Am I a candidate?

Good candidates have sufficient jawbone density, healthy gums, and no untreated conditions that affect healing, such as uncontrolled diabetes. Smoking and poor oral hygiene increase the risk of complications.

Suitability is determined during the consultation and imaging assessment. If bone density is insufficient, bone grafting may be an option.

05Risks and aftercare

Risks include infection, nerve damage, sinus complications in the upper jaw, and implant failure. Smoking and poor oral hygiene increase the risk.

Aftercare: avoid hard foods for 1–2 weeks after surgery, take any prescribed medication, and attend all follow-up appointments. Once healed, treat the implant like a natural tooth — brushing, flossing, and regular dental visits.

06What affects the cost?

Cost depends on the number of implants, the condition of the bone, and the type of restoration (crown, bridge, or denture). We give you a personal treatment plan and a transparent quote after the consultation and imaging assessment.

No two cases are the same, so pricing is always individualised.
